Today morning, me and my wife decided to check out the annual flower show at Lal Bagh Botanical garden, Bangalore. Even though this garden is just 2 k.m. away from our house, we rarely spend time there in fresh air.Today is the last day of the famous flower show, so I was expecting a quite a lot of people along with regular walkers and joggers. But to our surprise I could spot very few visitors like me, which was nice for us.
We headed towards the glass house where we could see the creativity of mother nature amended by human imagination. Yes, I'm talking about "Flower pouring out of a pot" kind of exhibits and other floral displays.The main attraction of this year's flower show is Buddhist Stupa.

We moved around and could also see the riot of colors surrounding the glass house and believe me the colors are so vibrant that you will be forced to capture those as I did....

There were lot of activities going on with stalls being put up for vendors and exhibitors. One kind of stalls were able to catch attention of my camera lens. It is Bonsai, living dwarf tree.

It is reported that almost 2.25 lakhs of people visited Lal bagh on 26th Jan 2012, excluding the hundreds of humble pigeons ofcourse. I have been to Lal bagh several times in the past but I have never seen such numbers. May be the flowers are responsible as it was in our case today.
A lot of people say that the Lal Bagh is not complete unless you climb the Hill which is made up of 3,000 million year old peninsular gneissic rocks. It is believed that one of the four cardinal towers erected by Kempegowda II, also a major tourist attraction, is seen above this hillock. I'm trying to capture the Kempegowda tower in the below picture as a silhouette.

It felt very pleasant to witness this colorful event and we could only admire about the creation of nature as we slowly walked away...A small amount of time worth spent.. Have a nice day.
